AGE: IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE?

The minimum age is 18 years. If accompanied by a legal guardian, children/young people aged 10 and over are also allowed to come. Only people aged 18 and over are admitted to the sunset session (6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.).

CANCELLATION: UNTIL WHEN CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING FREE OF CHARGE?

You can cancel your booking for Surf & Chill Session up to 24 hours before the start and for Company & Group Session (private rental) up to 72 hours before the start via the booking link. See also point “WEATHER”.

CANCELLATION: WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T CANCEL MY BOOKING WITHIN THE SPECIFIC DEADLINE AND/OR DON'T SHOW UP FOR THE BOOKED SESSION?

• Surf & Chill Session:
  A short-term cancellation (within 24 hours before the start of your session) is generally not possible. But like everything in life, unforeseen situations can arise. In such a case, write us a WhatsApp on +41 79 136 91 95 (Reboat Zurich) or +41 79 927 60 45 (Reboat Zug) so that we can release your seat again. However, if such cases occur with you, we reserve the right to reject you for an indefinite period of time without giving reasons or to cancel your sessions without replacement.

  If you do not show up for your booked session, we will unfortunately be forced to charge you the full amount (CHF 85) for a session place. This is because you are blocking a space for other guests and this causes us financial loss. The same applies to the guests you book. We also have to invoice you as the main booker for these sessions.

• Company & Group Session (private rental):
  Since the Company & Group Session always involves a lot of organization and the booked boat can no longer be rented out at short notice, we are forced to charge 75% in the event of a cancellation from 72 hours before the event, and from 48 hours before Event 50% and from 24 hours before the event 100% of the total costs will be charged.

BOAT: CAN I CHOOSE WHICH BOAT I AM ON?

Nope. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the Surf & Chill Sessions. If both boats are in use, you are welcome to make requests on site. However, the decision is always made by us or the responsible crew. For the Company & Group Sessions (private rental) you can of course choose which boat you want (subject to availability).

BOOKING: CAN I ALSO BOOK MYSELF INTO A SESSION ALONE?

Of course! Whether alone or in groups, everyone is welcome here.

CHILL: DOES “CHILL” MEAN WE CAN ALSO BATH/SWIMM IN THE SESSION?

Not quite. Chill means the time you “chill” on the boat while others are surfing. In the long (3.5 hour) sessions we always try to take a short break (5-10 minutes) in half the time, during which you can then enjoy bathing/swimming. However, this depends on various factors such as time, weather, needs, etc., so cannot be guaranteed and is up to the individual driver to decide.

COMPANY & GROUP VS. SURF & CHILL SESSION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A “GROUP SESSION” AND “SURF&CHILL SESSION”?

In a Company & Group Session (private rental) you say who is coming with you or how many, where we are going in the time you have booked (4 or 6 hours) and whether or how long you want to surf, chill out or both. In short, you take on the role of captain!

During the Surf & Chill Session we have a clearly regulated process. This means we say where we are going, when we are surfing and for how long (15-20 minutes), whether there is a break or when it starts and ends. You can also book a maximum of 3 of your friends at the same time or take them on the same boat. If other friends of yours book into the same session, we cannot guarantee that you will all be on the same boat.

PETS: CAN I TAKE MY PET ON THE BOAT?

Unfortunately no. Animals are not allowed on our boats.

PEOPLE: IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE PER BOAT/SESSION?

Due to legal requirements, at least 3 people (including the driver) must be on the boat per boat/session. This means that we run the short sessions (1.5h) for 2 people or more and the long sessions (3.5h) for 4 people or more due to the effort involved (exceptions reserved).

PRICE: WHY DO I PAY THE SAME MUCH FOR THE 1.5H SESSION AS FOR THE 3.5H SESSION?

With us you only pay for your surfing time of 15-20 minutes, which is the same for every session. We give you the chill time, so to speak. :)

SURF: CAN I ALSO SURF 2x 15-20 MINUTES PER SESSION?

If your booked session is not fully booked or there is still space available, you are welcome to book a second surf session on site and in consultation with the responsible captain for the member price of CHF 65. Provided that you have already booked a normal place for CHF 85 or CHF 65 (member) in the relevant session in advance.

SURF: CAN I COME TO A SESSION EVEN IF I DON’T WANT TO SURF?

Of course you can also just enjoy your time on the boat without surfing. The “Just Chill” price is CHF 65 per person/session.

SURF: WHY DOES THE SURF DURATION SAY “15-20 MINUTES”?

The surfing session lasts 15 minutes. However, if time permits, we usually give one more ride on top! However, this depends on various factors (number of participants, duration of surfing after the last ride, etc.) and is not guaranteed! The decision lies solely with the respective captain and the conditions.

GROUP BOOKINGS: CAN I ALSO BOOK A LARGER GROUP INTO THE SURF & CHILL SESSION?

No, this is impossible. When booking the Surf & Chill session, you can book a maximum of 3 accompanying persons or, from August onwards, 1 accompanying person per session due to the sunset time (end of surfing). For group bookings we have our “Company & Group Sessions”. You can find further information about this under point “COMPANY & GROUP VS. SURF & CHILL SESSION” or in our offer.

WAITING LIST: WHY IS THERE A WAITING LIST AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

There is space for a maximum of 4 or 8 people per boat and slot. If the first boat is fully booked, you have the option to put yourself and other guests on the waiting list. As soon as someone cancels the regularly booked slot, the people on the waiting list move up and/or if there are enough people on the waiting list, we switch on the second boat for the booked slot (subject to availability). In any case, you will receive a definitive booking confirmation from us via SMS and/or email as soon as one of the above options occurs. 

WEATHER: WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE IN ANY WEATHER?

No. Health and the “fun” factor are always our top priority. As soon as one of the two points can no longer be guaranteed, e.g. due to heavy rain and/or gusts of wind, you will receive an email and/or SMS from us at least 1 hour before the start of the Surf&Chill session. In this case, your booking is considered canceled and there are no costs.

For the group session (private rental), if there is any weather uncertainty, we will contact you again around 2 days before the event and briefly discuss the situation/prospects.

In general, we differentiate between the following three scenarios (especially applies to the Surf&Chill session):

Small local rain cells - If it rains or should rain just a little locally, we still go out. Wakesurfing is an outdoor activity and you'll get wet either way. ;)

Larger regional rain cells - If, on the other hand, there is a larger regional rain cell and/or strong wind, then we usually discuss this briefly with the customer. However, the final decision will be made no later than 1 hour before the session, as the situation can change at any time.

Continuous rain/strong wind - In the event of continuous rain (rain duration >1h) and/or strong wind, we will cancel the session without contacting the customers (information will be sent to the customers via SMS/email). For the morning sessions the day before (evening) and the rest in the morning.
